Mexico Mountain Water Decaffeinated
Mexico, Mountain Water is a single origin decaf coffee. For three generations, the Sampieri family have produced on approximately 500 hectares of La Laja. The farm is certified for their sustainable production with RFA and 4C.
Mountain Water Process is a method of indirect decaffeination. This process is done by Descamex, who use pure water from Pico de Orizaba – the highest mountain in Mexico. The extraction process uses a water-based solution that removes the caffeine whilst keeping the coffee’s flavour compounds.
It is done in small batches and 100% chemical free, resulting in a coffee that is 99.9% caffeine-free.
Our Mexico, Mountain Water Decaf is brewed best for espresso, stove top and cafetière.
